Hit-and-Run Comes to End at Belmont and Lincoln

Check out this first-hand look of the aftermath of a hit-and-run that left seven cars damaged.

A Patch reader had a first hand look at the end of the Lake View hit-and-run caught on tape earlier this week. The photo depicts the SUV, which was reportedly stolen, crashed onto the sidewalk, with a herd of onlookers nearby.

Andrew Gardner submitted this photo, taken from his balcony near Belmont and Lincoln Ave., of the stolen vehicle. The location is about a block west of where the SUV earlier crashed into six other cars.

The driver is now reportedly in custody for the accident, which reportedly caused thousands of dollars in damage.
