Two New Restaurants Coming to N. Halsted

The owners of D.S. Tequila and Minibar are opening two more restaurants in Lake View within the next year.

John Dalton and Stu Zirin, the owners of Minibar and D.S. Tequila are planning on opening two new restaurants on North Halsted — a skewer restaurant in December and a cajun restaurant in March, according to an article by DNAinfo. mEAT, the skewer restaurant, will be located at 3339 N. Halsted St.  and will focus on shared dining — the food will be shared by everyone at the table, with patrons taking what they want with skewers. The restaurant will reportedly be paleo-diet and gluten-free friendly.

Crawdaddy's Hot Tails and Hurricanes will open in March at 3445 N. Halsted, according to DNAinfo. The restaurant will specialize in fried chicken, Cajun food, hurricanes and daiquiris. The owners are hoping to have the Cajun restaurant open by Fat Tuesday of 2014.
