Annoyance Theatre Reaches $50,000 Goal

The improv theater reached the goal nearly two weeks before the end date of the Kickstarter campaign.

The Annoyance Theatre has surpassed its $50,000 Kickstarter goal to build a new location. The new theater will be located at 851 W. Belmont Ave., in the former J. Toguri Mercantile location.

According to the Kickstarter page, the new home will include one mainstage theatre, one experimental theatre, five classrooms, one bar, one kitchen, one hallway, offices, stairs, an elevator and a closet.

"We reached our goal!" reads the Kickstarter page. "We're so thankful, and many have been kind enough to ask, 'Can we Still Pledge?' The answer is a rousounding YES! Your further pledges will help us equip our kitchen so we can serve tasty food and do it sooner than we hoped. Thank you for your support!"

At the time of publication, the Annoyance Theatre has raised $56,875, with 565 backers. Donations end on Nov. 22.
