Ventra-Haters, Get Ready
Representatives from the RTA and CTA will be in Tom Tunney's Ward Office (3223 N. Sheffield) from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday to assist users with any Ventra-related issues - including receiving assistance with registering your Ventra card. 

Chicago LGBT International Film Festival Gala
Reeling, the Chicago LGBT International Film Festival, opens Thursday. $15 will get you into a screening, $40 gets you entry into the reception at the Laugh Factory - with hors d'oeurves by Jordan's Food of Distinction, Heineken beer and LGBT stand-up comics. 

Holiday Season Wine Tasting Party
Marshall's is playing holiday music, Walgreens has Christmas decorations for sale — time to break out the holiday wine! Lucky for you, Sidetrack is having a Holiday Wine Tasting Party on Wed. Nov. 6 from 6:30 until 9 p.m. Over 99 wines will be available to try. 

Donate to Runaways, Get a Deal
Support the National Runaway Safeline by donating new and gently used hats and gloves to area Southport and Lincoln Ave. businesses and get a deal at multiple businesses in the area — its a win-win situation for everyone. More information on the charity is available here

Shark Tank Star Meets Chicago Entrepreneurs
Head to Lincoln Park on Tuesday to meet Shark Tank star and entrepreneur Daymond John at the Miller Lite Tap the Future competition. Five semifinalists will pitch their ideas to Daymond John and his panel of judges on Nov. 5, doors open at 6:30 p.m. The event is free, but registration is required
