CPS Schools to Close Tuesday

All Chicago Public Schools are closing Tuesday due to the cold temperatures expected.

All Chicago Public Schools will be closed Tuesday, for the second day in a row, because of the weather.

Barbara Byrd Bennett, the head of CPS, told the Chicago Tribune that the closing was due to the "continued cold temperatures" expected on Tuesday, which is expected to reach a high of 5 degrees.

Several other schools in the area have already decided to close Tuesday, including Evanston/Skokie School District 65, New Trier Township High School and Winnetka District 36.
