Another Ex-Cubs Pitcher Sells His Lake View Home

Ryan Dempster let go Tuesday of his 3-story, 5-bedroom house for $1.765 million, according to reports.

Summer must be the season for baseball and for former Chicago Cubs pitchers to unload Lake View homes.

On the heels of the sale of Jeff Samardzija's condo, ex-Cubs hurler Ryan Dempster, who decided not to play baseball this year, sold Tuesday his five-bedroom, 5,300-square-foot house in Lake View for $1.765 million, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Dempster, who bought the house for $1.715 million in 2006, had been renting it out since 2008 after he bought another, larger Lake View home, the report stated. In fact, Dempster also owns a newly built, 5,650-square-foot house in West Lakeview and a Lake View condo that he rents out, the report added.

The three-story, all-brick house that was recently sold has four-and-a-half baths, a custom kitchen, a penthouse rec room with a roof deck, a wine cellar and other amenities, the report stated.
