Woman Assaulted in Daylight Attack in Alley

Attacker warned victim, "I know where you live," after he assaulted her in garage, Chicago Breaking news reports.

The Lake View community is on Edge after a daylight sexual assault on a 22-year-old woman in an alley on Monday afternoon.

Police said the woman was walking home from a gas station through the alley when a man ran up behind her and pulled out a knife and said, “Don’t do anything, I’ll slit your throat,” Chicago Breaking News reported.

The woman told police that she had just purchased a pack of cigarettes at a gas station at Addison and Halsted around 4:25 p.m. Police said the woman heard someone running and turned to see a man running toward her.

She thought the man would pass her but instead he pulled a knife and dragged her into a garage, where he sexually assaulted her behind a pickup truck, Chicago Breaking News said.

The man then pushed her to ground and made off with her purse and iPod. Before he ran away, he warned her to stay put or he would harm her, saying, “I know where you live,” the paper reported.
