Tire Slashing Rampage on Lincoln Wednesday (VIDEO)

Cars parked near the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Addison Street had their tires slashed Wednesday, totaling more than 10 vehicles with flat tires.

More than 10 cars had their tires slashed Wednesday, and police say they have no witnesses or leads as to who could have gone on the mini rampage.

Police were called to the scene at the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Addison Street – directly between Lake View, Roscoe Village and North Center – at 8 a.m. Wednesday when one resident found his car’s tires slashed. After calling police, the man also noticed more than 10 other cars near his own with the same problem.

And according to police, there were no witnesses of the tire assault. Officers with the 19th District say it could be anyone, and was probably an intoxicated individual under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Some residents were even hit more than once. ABC7 reporters found a total of 22 tires, and they talked with victims at the scene.

"I went to get into the one van to go, two flat tires," Tim Humprey told ABC. "Used the spare van, found three flat tires on that one."
