Parking Restrictions in Effect Monday and Tuesday Filming

Hollywood loves the 44th Ward with three film projects taking place in and around Lake View on Monday, March 24, and Tuesday, March 25.

Vehicles parked in these locations during filming will be towed, Ald. Tom Tunney's office said.

“Chicago Fire”

“Chicago Fire” will be filming a scene in which paramedics dash into a house at 700 N. Melrose Ave.  There will be one exterior shot and another inside the house. Restrictions are in effect from 8 a.m to 9 p.m. March 24 on the following streets:

• Both sides of Melrose from 700 W. Melrose to 722 W. Melrose (for picture).

• Both sides of Halsted from Belmont to Aldine(truck parking).

Onion Labs Commercial

Onion Labs will be filming scenes for an upcoming commercial between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. March 24.

The following streets will be posted with NO PARKING/TOW ZONE signs during shooting:

• West side of Halsted from Addison to Waveland.

• South side of Waveland from Fremont to Halsted.

Selfie LLC

On Monday and Tuesday, Selfie will be shooting in the 3320 of North Halsted Street. from noon to midnight.

• Parking restrictions are in effect on the west side of Halsted Street between 3200 and 3300.

Production vehicles will not block any handicapped spaces, driveways, fire hydrants, or any municipal services such as postal, garbage, school bus routes, etc. Selfie LLC is working closely with the Chicago Film Office.
