Fire Destroys Lake View Apartments, Displaces 13 Residents (VIDEO)

More than a dozen people were displaced Sunday night when a fire destroyed the top two stories of an apartment building near Southport Avenue.

Thirteen Lake View residents are now searching for another place to live after a fire broke out Sunday night, destroying the top two floors of an apartment building, according to WGN-TV.

The blaze broke out around 8:30 p.m. on the 1200 block of West Roscoe Street, two blocks east of the Southport Brown Line station, reports DNAinfo Chicago. Nobody was hurt in the fire, and while investigators believe the fire started on the second-floor deck, the exact cause is still unclear.
