Derreck Kayongo, CNN Hero, to Speak to DeVry University Students

On Wednesday, April 16, DeVry University and
its Keller Graduate School of Management will host guest speaker Derreck
Kayongo, Ugandan refugee and founder of the Global Soap Project. Kayongo will
speak to international students at DeVry University’s Chicago campus about
global careers, including:



· His experience as a Ugandan
refugee and migration to the United States



· Developing a global business
or non-profit

In 2011, Kayongo was
recognized as a CNN Hero for founding the Global Soap Project, which cleans and
reprocesses lightly used soap from hotel rooms and ships them to impoverished
nations including Haiti, Uganda, Kenya and Swaziland.
