Recycle Your Christmas Tree, Snag Free Mulch

Drop off your Christmas tree at Wrigley Field and snag some free mulch in Lincoln Park just a few days later.

Make your Christmas a little greener! Ald. Tom Tunney (44th) and the Chicago Cubs are joining forces to turn holiday spirit into springtime mulch.

Drop off your Christmas tree to be recycled anytime between Saturday, Jan. 5 to Sunday, Jan. 13 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cubs Green Lot, 1126 W. Grace St.

The trees can't have any lights or decorations, so make sure to keep those at home.

Not long after free mulch will be available to residents for pick up. Beginning on Friday, Jan. 11, residents can pick up the mulch in Lincoln Park at the corner of Cannon Drive and Fullerton Avenue at the parking lot east of Cannon Drive.
