Power Outage for 3K Residents Still Under Investigation

Power for those in West Lake View and Roscoe Village has been restored after a 3-hour outage, but ComEd says they've yet to find the cause.

Power is now restored for roughly 3,000 West Lake View and Roscoe Village residents after an outage Thursday evening.

A representative with ComEd says the 3-hour blackout occurred near the intersection of Belmont and Ashland avenues, and they’re still looking into the cause.

“We did have an issue last night that began a little after 8 p.m. in the evening,” the ComEd spokesperson said. “It affected about 3,000 people in the height of it, and power was restored at 11 p.m.”
