Chrissy Camba works as a chef at Lake View’s Bar Pastoral—an upscale “grazing as dinner” restaurant set to open Nov. 12—but calls Lincoln Square her home.
To earn a spot on the show, Camba competed against five other chefs at Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant, Cut, in Beverly Hills.
Her task? To make an omelet—the best omelet she’s ever made—in 45 minutes.
“I often do omelets in my restaurant in Chicago, but this time it’s different, it’s for Wolfgang Puck,” Camba said on the show.
Lobster, bacon, fennel and potatoes went into the omelet that won her a ticket to the competition in Seattle and a chance at the Top Chef title.
Camba is the lone Chicago chef on the show, which airs on Wednesdays and features 24 chefs from around the country and world.
