Vintage Garage Chicago Features Art

Vintage Art is the theme of the next Vintage Garage Chicago in Uptown. Dealers at the event will be showcasing works by little-known, unknown and still to be known local and regional artists as well as their always cool vintage merchandise.

“Art is one of those categories that isn’t so easily valued,” explains art dealer Eric Miller of Vintage Promotions, LLC, and producer of the event. “In most cases it wasn’t produced in any quantities, every piece is unique.”

Miller says it’s also an object people can form a personal bond with.

“When you discover art you realize someone made that and left a piece of themselves in it,” Miller says.

While the work of many artists go on to be recognized, equal amounts remained undiscovered. These pieces present opportunities, both in discovery, and in providing affordable, unique and attractive accents to homes and apartments.

“Nothing can do as much for a home as an original work of art,” Miller says. “And anyone can have great art at home if you’re not focused on signatures and auction records.”
