Reflexion Spa introduces Kris - Acupuncturist

Your favorite reset button and recipient of a 2013 best award for Chicago Spas has expanded due to customer requests (yes, we really do listen ;-) ), adding a couple of extremely talented individuals) -
Kris is a nationally certified practitioner of acupuncture and oriental medicine under the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He earned his Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago. Prior to this he completed a Bachelors degree in Movement Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). In addition to being a practitioner of acupuncture and oriental medicine he is also a nationally certified and Licensed Massage Therapist under the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). 

The variety of modalities at his disposal, coupled with his scope of knowledge, allows him to treat a wide variety of conditions including but not limited to: pain relief/management, digestive/gastrointestinal issues, respiratory conditions, stress/ anxiety, women’s health, and general practice issues. His personal interest however, typically focuses on the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries most often related to sports or age. Additionally, his interests also include performance enhancement for athletes utilizing acupuncture, massage, and herbal medicine. 

Kris lives a very active lifestyle consisting of routine strength training and cardiovascular conditioning, as well as studying martial arts. As a result of his own experiences he understands that all people; athletes (recreational/professional) as well as non-athletes, can truly benefit from the natural health promoting effects and performance enhancing capabilities of acupuncture, massage, and Chinese herbal medicine. 

He began martial training at 15 and has been studying for nearly 20 years. His past experience includes; Ed Parker system Kenpo, Boxing, Kick Boxing, Muay Thai, Judo, Jujitsu, and MMA. 

In 2013, he earned his Shidoshi (teacher’s) license during his first trip to Japan. Since returning, in addition to practicing alternative therapies he has begun teaching classes in the Chicago land area.
