Anixter Center Receives Grant to Upgrade Lighting from Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation

Anixter Center, one of the largest nonprofit organizations in the Chicago area serving people with disabilities, has received a $31,200 grant from the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation to install energy efficient upgrades to its lighting systems.

The upgrades are planned for 14 Anixter Center buildings, including residences for people with disabilities, buildings where programs and services are provided to people with disabilities and administration offices. Among the many benefits of these lighting upgrades are better lighting quality across buildings, savings on energy bills and reduced energy usage, which, in turn, will help protect the environment.
