Uncle Fun Toy Store Closing

The beloved toy store is closing its doors after 25 years in business.

Uncle Fun, the iconic Lake View toy and gag store located at 1338 W. Belmont Ave., is officially closing its doors.

The store announced its closing on its Facebook page on Saturday. Everything in the store is currently 50 percent off, with more things from the warehouse and basement being brought in every day.

"Ted is retiring to balmy Baltimore with his husband and dog Archie," the Facebook posts reads. "Come shopping, leave smiling!"

It is unclear at this point when the store will officially close its doors.

Uncle Fun has been open for 25 years.

One Uncle Fun fan, Bil Rob, announced on Facebook that he's putting together an Uncle Fun zine to commemorate the store. Anyone with photos, stories, drawings or anything else to contribute should email him at iknowbilly@gmail.com.
