Superbowl Specials: Lake View Bars, Beyonce Watch Parties
The San Francisco 49ers will take on the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, Feb. 3. To celebrate, we've found seven spots around the neighborhood to watch Super Bowl XLVII.
This Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens will take on the San Francisco 49ers for Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans and we've got the scoop on all the action!
TV schedule
- Super Bowl XLVII starts at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
- CBS-TV (channel 62) coverage of the big game begins at 1 p.m. with "Super Bowl Today" until 5 p.m.
- The "Super Bowl Kick Off Show" starts at 5 p.m.

To celebrate this big game, Pizzeria Serio in Lake View will be offering all of their guests free pizza during the big game. There will be no drink minimum or package associated the plan. All that people have to do is come in to Serio and enjoy some of their famous East Coast pizza.

Swing by the iconic Wrigleyville bar for their Super Sunday Party, an all-inclusive drink and food package for $30.

Join Joe Green for his annual Super Bowl Bash. Partiers can check out the game on the club’s 25 HDTVs, as well as a projection screen. And don’t forget about Beyonce’s halftime show. Specials include $10 Miller Lite and Coors Light pitchers, a complimentary “Super-Buffet,” with the first two drinks included! Doors Open at 4:30 p.m., and there is a $5 cover charge to get in.

The arcade-themed bar is offering up a free halftime buffet if you purchase just one beer. What’s more is Lincoln Park’s Etno Village Grill is catering the buffet.
Trader Todd’s
3216 N. Sheffield Ave.
Party at Todd’s and you could win a 50-inch HDTV. Owners plan to draw the winner after the game, but during the game, partiers can snag $4 Bacardi Oakheart and Cokes, $2 Bud Light drafts and 25 cent wings.

The annual “Super Chili Cook-Off” on Super Bowl Sunday is here again where football fans can taste a slew of chili during the big game. All contestants wanting to enter a chili recipe have to submit their recipe by the end of the 1st Quarter and the winners will be announced by the end of the 3rd quarter. Everyone who walks through the door gets a free Elmer Fudd hat, and the winner of the cook-off gets $75 cash.

Check out Superbol 47 at one of Lake View’s staple bars while enjoying a free chili bar and $3 Budweiser and Bud Light all day. And, as always on Sundays, the bar is sporting bloody marys, mimosas and screwdrivers for $5 a pop.
Halsted’s Bar & Grill

Head over to Halsted’s Sunday for the Super Bowl Beyonce Bash benefitting EdgeAlliance, a local nonprofit organization. Before kickoff, the bar will play everyone’s favorite Beyonce videos hosted by Dida Ritz from RuPaul’s Drag Race. And, with a $10 donation to EdgeAlliance, partiers get five raffle tickets and a free halftime buffet. That’s combined with $4 Bud Light drafts, $5 dragon bomb and $5 Halsted Vodka cocktails.
Sheffield’s Beer and Wine Garden

Game day specials at this Lake View favorite include $150 Goose Island 312 buckets, $4 Flying Dog and Anchor Steam bottles, Tri Tip steak sandwich on sourdough with spicy tomato jam, pepper jack cheese, avocado, and arugula, as well as Baltimore Pit Beef on a kaiser roll with horseradish havarti, sliced raw sweet onion, and tomato.

Get ready for ROCKS’ Burger Challenge Eat-Off, where the person with the shortest time will winn a $100 ROCKS gift card and shots for their supporters. It’s all going down during halftime. “Fame, glory, a t-shirt & a $100 Gift Card go to the fatty with the shortest time,” as the bar’s Facebook page reads.

Looking to party on Southport? The Mystic Celt is serving up $2 Miller Lite bottles, $6 bloody marys, $1.50 mini-cheeseburgers and $5 for eight jumbo wings.

Watch the Superbowl at Toons Bar where owners are cooking up their first crawfish of the year during their Super Boil. Get the all-you-can-eat special for $25, along with Abita beer specials, Cajun sides and more.
Blokes & Birds

Snag a complimentary buffet, $4 house infusion shots, $4 craft can beer and $4 well drinks on Clark Street during their Superbowl Party, followed by karaoke and a DJ following the game.

Party Mardi Gras style at Red Ivy with jambalaya, catfish po’ boys, hushpuppies and hurricanes. The bar will also have raffle prizes and outdoor prizes, cooler and grills during the game.
