New Starbucks Officially Opens in 3 Southport Storefronts (PHOTOS)
After a long wait, the large new Starbucks is now open on Southport Avenue near the Brown Line station.
As of Thursday morning, Chicago's newest Starbucks has officially opened in Lake View with a few local touches to make it feel like home.
The new space at 3400 N. Southport Ave. combined three existing storefronts into a much larger cafe than its former home across the street. And with more space comes much more seating, natural light, and even enough room for Starbucks' pricy Clover Brewing System.
Also, true to the street's name, a magnetic community board takes over a wall in the back of the store reading "Southport Corridor."
