Milt's BBQ to Donate 100% of Profits to Charity

The Lakeview BBQ restaurant is asking patrons to vote on the charity that receives the profits.

Milt's Barbecue for the Perplexed, at 3411 N. Broadway, will be donating 100 percent of its profits from the year to charity, the business recently announced. 

Milt's is inviting patrons to vote for the organization that will get the money. Diners can vote at the restaurant, and votes before 5 p.m. and after 8 p.m. on weekdays are worth more, a post on Facebook by the restaurant states. 

The following charities are in the running for the profits:

  • Bernard Moos Elementary 
  • Center on Halsted
  • Chai Lifeline/Team Cara
  • Equality Illinois
  • Fred Says
  • Heartland Alliance Majorie Kovler Center
  • Hebrew Theological College
  • Inspiration Corporation
  • Jewish Relief Agency
  • Jewish Student Connection
  • Keshet
  • Lakeview Pantry
  • The Libenu Foundation
  • The Night Ministry
  • Shalva
  • A Silver Lining Foundation
  • Snow City Arts
