The following businesses around the neighborhood are closed or are closing early on Mon. Jan. 6, due to the extremely cold temperature. Chicago set a record cold on Monday, with -14 degrees.

Closing Early 
-The Chicago Public Library will forgive all late fees for books due Jan. 6 and Jan. 7. Those books can be brought in on Wednesday. 
--The Music Box Theatre will close early, and will not hold the scheduled 9:45 p.m. showing of Aftermath. 
-Lincoln Park Zoo is closing at 3 p.m.
