Flash Mob, Drumline Invade Clark and Belmont

In case you were around Clark and Belmont around 4 p.m. Thursday, yes, you just saw a marching band come out of an H&R Block.

The H&R Block at that intersection became the company's first to use a flash mob promotion Thursday afternoon.

Without notice, dancers flooded the intersection, music blasted and a drumline exited the tax prep company, located at 822 W. Belmont. A balloon and confetti release followed.

It's all part of H&R Block's "Get Your Billion Back" campaign. You know, the commercial with the guy putting $500 on every seat in a football stadium? As Lake View office manager Riley Holmes said, "Americans left money on the table, mostly through missed credits and missed deductions."

Holmes said the Lake View office is the first of many H&R Block flash mobs that will strike across the country.
