This isn't your average ice cream sandwich. This is blueberry french toast gelato inside two lemon doughnuts.
And it's coming, oh, so close to Wicker Park.
Black Dog Gelato and Glazed & Infused are teaming up to bring locals an end-of-the-summer treat. Gelato doughnut sandwiches will be on sale Aug. 29 at the nearby ice cream store at both 859 N. Damen Ave. and 1955 W. Belmont Ave.

The line-up of sandwiches also include chocolate donuts with Nutella crunchy pretzel gelato and the toffee doughnut with milk stout ice cream.
A dessert power couple of apple fritter with salted peanut gelato brings back nostalgic after-school snacks, but with attitude.
