A Burst Pipe or a 'Horrifying Rain of Poop'?

The office workers at 35 W. Wacker weren't so sure at first.

CHICAGO — Burst pipes in a Chicago high rise at 35 W. Wacker Drive Tuesday spilled a torrent of brown water into the 15th-floor offices of the Leo Burnett ad agency.

Deadspin called the downpour a "horrifying rain of poop."

Reports Business Insider, Leo Burnett's art director, Kasey Moore, posted to Instagram: "So... This is happening on my floor at work. Poo eruption."

NBC Chicago described this scene: "Feces rained down from the ceiling onto the 15th-floor offices and began pooling after a pipe burst. Indeed the video, which later resurfaced on YouTube, shows a dark-colored substance flowing onto a cubicle."

Leo Burnett Chicago, however, tweeted denials to local news media that the brown water was sewage. "While we appreciate the creativity here, and it's indeed unpleasant, rest assured that it's only dust and water." (@LeoBurnettChi)
