SELVN to Vote on Broadway Youth Center on Monday

The South East Lake View Neighbors (SELVN) will vote Monday on whether or not the organization will support the Broadway Youth Center (BYC). 

The BYC has been operating inside the Wellington Avenue United Church of Christ since June, but learned recently that they'll need a special-use permit to stay open. Some residents are against the church being used as the Center, saying it has brought a wave of crime into the area. 

While Monday's vote doesn't officially decide the fate of the BYC, it will decide if the neighborhood association will give the BYC its support in receiving the permit.

If your membership is not current, you may submit payment via cash, check or paypal to our Treasurer this evening. If you are a new member paying tonight, your membership will be effective at the following general meeting.
