Metra Construction to Shut Down Irving Park Road
Plan to avoid Irving Park Road near Ravenswood Avenue, because crews will be working on the Metra tracks almost all day.
There is a full closure of West bound Irving Park Road at Ravenswood Avenue near the Metra tracks from Tuesday to Friday, according to Ald. Tom Tunney's office.
The closure is related to the Metra reconstruction project, and traffic will be diverted between starting Tuesday at 9 a.m. and ending by Friday at 6 a.m.
The eastbound detour will be Irving Park to Lincoln Avenue, east on Addison and north on Ashland Avenue. The westbound detour will be Irving Park to Ashland, west on Montrose and south on Damen Avenue.

A second closure will take place on Thursday, Aug. 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
