Belmont Dental to Donate to Pantry, Give Kids Cash for Candy

Rather than eat your Halloween candy, bring it to Belmont Dental to benefit the Lakeview Pantry and your pocketbook.

Belmont Dental Care is putting their own spin on trick-or-treating this Halloween by asking Lake View children to hand over their candy for a good cause.

The dentist office at 3344 N. Lincoln Ave. is making a $50 donation to the Lakeview Pantry for every pound of candy children bring in. And if that isn’t enough of a reward, Belmont Dental is also giving the brave children with a not-so-sweet tooth $5 to personally reward them for straying from the sugary snacks.

“The dentists at Belmont Dental Care are putting their money where your children’s mouths are!” the local business wrote in a statement. “It is well known that too much candy can lead to uncomfortable dental problems.

"The Lakeview dental practice, Belmont Dental Care, is doing something about it... while contributing to Lakeview Pantry for Halloween candy brought in to their office by local children!”

The event is called “Cash for Candy,” and it begins the morning after Halloween and ends on Nov. 9. Children don’t need to book an appointment to drop off their candy. They can simply walk into the office between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, or on Friday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
