Tunney On The Scene As Tree Falls Blocking Surf

Have any photos of storm damage? Post them like I did here as an announcement in Patch's new Boards section.

A massive tree on the 400 block of Surf Street snapped during Monday evening's storm, and who else was at the scene but Ald. Tom Tunney (44th) himself.

Tunney was inspecting the damage to the two vehicles, where there was surprisingly none, after he called in the incident to the city.

Cars used the nearby alley to bypass the incident.

Hey Tunney, instead of taking funny photos of fallen trees, how about you do something about the crime in Boystown?? How about you work on getting the city to hire more police???

Yeah - Tunney - where were you Saturday night when the whole neighborhood was mass mayhem and madness? Why weren't you out posing for photos with the southside thugs who were destroying the neighborhood? Come on, get on the stick!!! Your ward is declining rapidly and NOBODY in any position of authority seems to care. Pretty soon this neighborhood will look like Detroit or Haiti.

Why not a picture of him walking thru the alleys after the Pride Parade at 8pm avoiding the people drinking on Halsted St w/beer cans in hand. What happened to NO DRINKING on the streets?
