Beware High Waters, NWS Issues Flash Flood Warning

Almost 4 inches of rain fell between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, soaking already-wet grounds on the North Side.

The heavy rain caused the National Weather Service to issue a flash flood warning for the Chicago Area until 4:30 p.m.

While the CTA had no reported delays due to weather, parts of the Metra’s Union Pacific Northwest Line were shut down, making travel difficult in the suburbs.
