Help a Neighbor: Donation Drive Kicks Off in Lake View

From cotton balls to shampoo, Ald. Tunney is asking Lake Viewers to help with some essentials for those less fortunate. See the full list here.

Ald. Tom Tunney (44th) and his team at the 44th Ward office are shouting out to neighbors in Lake View and the ward to help provide some essential items to those less fortunate.

It’s the ward’s second annual Donation Drive 2012, and it’s all about the community coming together to help neighbors in need. The ward office is collecting personal care and cleaning products to be distributed throughout the ward. House of Good Shepherd, Vital Bridges, Lakeview Pantry and The Crib are the Lake View organizations receiving the items.

  • Soap (Bath, Body, Face, etc.)
  • Razors and Shaving Cream 
  • Cleaning Products 
  • Toilet Paper
  • Paper Towels
  • Shampoo and Conditioner
  • Tooth Paste, Tooth Brushes, Mouthwash 
  • Lotion (Face, Body, etc.)
  • Kleenex
  • Q-tips
  • Cotton Balls
  • Deodorant
  • Laundry Detergent 
  • Dish Soap 
  • Sponges
  • Dental Floss
  • All Purpose Spray Cleaners
  • Shower Gel
  • Bleach
  • Windex
  • Anything else!

The unused, unopened items can be dropped off at the 44th Ward office at 1057 W. Belmont Ave. The Donation Drive 2012 will run through the holidays until Dec. 28. Residents can contact Deanna at 773-525-6034 for additional information.
