Blaine Students Snag 1,850 Pounds of Food for Charity (PHOTOS)

The Thanksgiving food drive yielded a huge donation to the Lakeview Pantry. Check out these great photos!

Blaine Elementary School’s first Thanksgiving food drive was anything but small, pulling in 1,850 pounds of canned goods for the Lakeview Pantry.

The program, titled “Every One Can,” enlisted every grade in the school to donate canned foods from Nov. 5 through Nov. 21. And although the food drive just wrapped up, the pantry’s Community Outreach Coordinator Lothar Greski is already looking forward to the next food drive in the spring.

“Blaine, your efforts made this food drive so easy,” he said. “Now we have goals for the next drive. Your kids and staff are fantastic!”
